Hello, fellow stargazers! You have reached the official home page of the Astronomy Club @ Needham High School. We meet every week to look up, talk shop, and figure out what that weird bright dot over the football field actually is (usually Jupiter).
Whether you've never used a telescope before or you can recite the Messier catalog from memory, there's a spot for you here. Grab your star chart and come say hi!

ABOUT THE CLUB 部について
We're a low-pressure, high-curiosity group — no prior experience or equipment required. The club uses a variety of telescopes for viewing night-sky objects.

ASTRONOMY NIGHTS Wednesdays 8-9 PM
Every month on Wednesdays, we set up telescopes in the Newman Elementary School basketball court for a community stargazing night — clear skies permitting!
- Typically Wednesday, 8:00 – 9:00 PMBIWEEKLY

- Free hot cocoa ☕ served all night
- Club members on hand with telescopes pointed at the Moon & visible planets
- All ages welcome — bring the whole family!
Throughout astronomy nights members of the astronomy club will be walking around and enthusiastically answering your questions.

OUR TELESCOPES 望遠鏡について
The club owns and maintains a small fleet of telescopes, all available for members to check out at meetings and Astronomy Nights. No experience needed — an officer will walk you through setup.

⚠️ Never look at the Sun without a proper solar filter! Ask an officer before any daytime observing.
